About PAge
Who:
The Refuge is a 501(c)3 non-profit para-church ministry. We are run by Christian volunteers from all over the Susquehanna Valley. At any time, we typically have about 8+ churches represented at The Refuge. All volunteers follow this process.
The Refuge Story
The story of how God established a youth center in Sunbury, Pa is one we love to tell:
Our Purpose
To provide a “Safe Place” for the youth of Central Pennsylvania by giving them a space to gather with friends while having fun, and being surrounded by positive staff and volunteers who want to invest in their lives.
Relational Ministry
All the staff at The Refuge are Christians. We believe in sharing Jesus with kids through relational ministry. We desire to get to know the kids who come to the center and learn about their lives. We let God lead the rest...
What:
The Refuge is a youth center for students 6th-12th. The center includes a collection of programs. These programs are tools to educate, entertain, teach, and grow students in their development. The tools we use also provide a way for us to share Jesus with kids through relationship building.
